Today is the last day of The Food Revolution Summit 2016. Today’s agenda is summing up of the summit activity by John Robbins and Ocean Robbins.

Are GMO are necessary to feed the world? Answer is astounding NO.

Wonder crops promised to be growing in drought. Now the companies who used to say so have even stopped. It is a myth for the benefit of companies.

Fats and carbs demonized by the lobbiest are also myths. Chia, Linseed and flax seeds are lot more beneficials. Nuts are good for you. Avocado have healthy fats. Bottled oils and processed foods are not best for you.

Highest qualities of carbs include berries, and green vegetables and rich in anti-oxidants. Berry consists of elements that reduce the most of diseases.

Sugar and white flower are not good  and raking  on human health. Legumes are good source of healthy nutrients.

Organic food is not a luxury for elitist of the world. It is myth and it does not take much effort to create it.

You don’t need dairy products to get calcium.

Sugar  and fat consumption as a culprit of causing diabetes and inflamation.  Inflamation is cause most of diseases. Milk consuming for adults could be cause of so many adult stage complications. Effect of estrogens from milk of pregnant cows were also being elaborated. Vegetarian diets are associated with lack of depression and mood swings, thiongs which are more prevalent with animal diet.

Caryn Hartglass came up with wonderful recipe called Aguas Frescas which means fresh water. Save a small amount of this recipe and make ice cube and enjoy.

She said drinking sodas like coke, pepsi supply lot of sugar which causes diabetes and other inflamatory diseases.  Soda companies are following script of cigarete companies and succeeding  in their effort. Coke and pepsi companies funds lot of lobbying effort and at the same time want to  stay anonymous about it.

The food revolution summit day one is come and gone, Here is summary of interviews:

  1. John Robbins interviewed Dr. Michael Gregor, in which both discussed alternative food choices and various super foods like mushrooms, Dr. Gregor shed light on the fact that even ordinary white mushrooms mostly sold in grocery stores can increase the immune responses with in a short period of few weeks.
  2. Second interview was with Dr.Christiane Northrup who wrote a book “Goddess Never Age”. Here she discusses about women’s health. She said about aging, vitality and beauty. She quoted, “Getting old is inevitable, aging is optional.” by Dr. Mario Martinez and went on explaining and how she lives by that phrase. She also discussed cultural portals.
  3. Then Caryn Hartglass  gave recipe called Radiant health green power smoothy with turmeric and black pepper. She also said smoothies are meant to be sipped not guzzled.
  4. Last interview John did was with Dr. Mimi Guarneri, She discussed how to put integrative health to work for you. She told how changing your diet can have beneficial effects on your health. She talked about how the death of her parents affected her choice to become a cardiologist. How she started researching various health choices and made them part of their daily life habits which resulted in lowering her cholesterol levels from 320 to 100.
